Quick Update

Not updated this in a while, figured it was time to! I've changed the blog from a DJCAD-related page to just one for this project in general, as I plan on continuing this comic in some shape or form either after my studies or through the post-grad comics course that I'd love to do.
So, in light of that, here are some development sketches for where I'd like to take the project. The initial 5 page comic was a sort of prequel, showing the Djinn's first experience of our 'modern' world in the 80s, and the mini-series (3 arcs, one for each wish used until the Djinn's then released from servitude, ending the story) would follow his second more successful venture out of the bottle, set in the present day.
It would be my own personal 'Hellblazer' or 'Supernatural' - the duo would travel Edinburgh, Scotland and then the UK (possibly overseas, too) trying to figure out what other creatures may exist, and how far the paranormal stretches - the Djinn initially targeting people he feels embody the Seven Deadly Sins and 'dealing' with them. Both are at a stage where they're not sure where they stand in the world, so together they can figure it out, all the while locked in a strange, almost forced, partnership and at times friendship. It seems a good way to be able to cover a variety of topics and stories without 'breaking' the tone - mysteries, crimes, politics, religion, philosophy, day-to-day occurrences etc. Quick update, but hopefully more to follow in the near future.
